As a result, loads of words come from Latin, German, Old English, Greek, among other languages.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">If anyone were given the task of searching in a good English-English dictionary, they would find tons of words that might seem \u00abnon-English\u00bb, as they were taken or adapted from one of their original languages.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meanings of aa, hwyl, glaikit and bawbee, among others, are displayed in this month\u2019s bulletin board as a way of showing our students the great words that the English language has, as well as the enormous cultural and historical wealth of the language that is currently lingua franca.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-24913 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/madridcomunica.comwp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GREAT-WORDS.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.madridcomunica.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GREAT-WORDS.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/www.madridcomunica.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/GREAT-WORDS-267x200.jpeg 267w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">PALABRAS GENIALES EN\u2026 \u00bfINGL\u00c9S?<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">El idioma ingl\u00e9s se origin\u00f3 hace muchos siglos y proviene de diversos dialectos y lenguas muy antiguas.
