They can now identify each one and describe their favorite. They talked about how transportation helps us move around and classified them by how they travel: in the sky, on water or on land.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Third graders practiced orally asking each other how they get to school and they were surprised that some classmates come to school by motorcycle or walking. This also happens in other countries and the kids read about how some children in Colombia use a school boat to go to school. Some students mentioned they would like to come to school in a submarine or a limo!<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The most meaningful activity for the kids was to talk about the unit&#8217;s value:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u00abhow to be safe on the street\u00bb and learning a new song they really enjoyed.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">We concluded this unit making a chart to show how many of them use a car, a taxi, a van, a motorcycle, a bike, the school bus or walk to school.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">En esta unidad los alumnos de 3\u00ba grado aprendieron sobre los diferentes tipos de transporte, ahora<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>ya los identifican y pueden describir su favorito. Hablaron en clase sobre c\u00f3mo el transporte<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>nos ayuda a movernos de un lugar a otro y los clasificaron de acuerdo a c\u00f3mo viajan: en el aire, sobre agua, dentro del agua, o en la tierra.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los alumnos de tercero practicaron oralmente preguntando a sus compa\u00f1eros c\u00f3mo vienen a la escuela y se sorprendieron de saber que algunos vienen en moto o caminando.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Esto pasa tambi\u00e9n en otros pa\u00edses, de acuerdo a una lectura que hicieron donde platican que ni\u00f1os en Colombia usan botes para transportarse a su escuela. \u00a1Algunos estudiantes mencionaron que les gustar\u00eda venir en submarino o limosina al colegio!<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">La actividad m\u00e1s significativa para ellos fue hablar sobre el valor de la unidad: \u00abC\u00f3mo estar a salvo en la calle\u00bb y aprendieron una canci\u00f3n sobre esto que les gusto mucho.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Concluimos esta unidad realizando una gr\u00e1fica para mostrar cu\u00e1ntos de ellos utilizan carro, taxi, camioneta, moto, bicicleta o caminan para venir a la escuela.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"In this unit our students from 3\u00ba grade learned about all the different kinds of transportation.
