Handprint Projects <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\"\"As a part of our English class we have been working on a series of projects that are meant to raise awareness about the Agenda 2030 and its objectives.<\/p>\r\n

We talked about which ones they are and why they are important. Then students picked one objective and a topic within to work on positive actions that can be done on a small scale. The objective here is to be able to contribute personally and as a community.<\/p>\r\n

One of the most important steps during the construction of their projects was a table they filled in with information related to the topic in different dimensions (social, economical, political and environmental) and scales (individual, family or small group, community, region, nation or state, transnational, world) which gives them a wider perspective of the issue at hand and more clarity onto the work that can be done.<\/p>\r\n

In the end, the topics and actions taken form the students are quite varied and because students got to choose the topic they worked on, it is relevant to them and they feel very motivated to research information and they are very willing to take steps towards positive actions.<\/p>\r\n

Personally, I feel very proud of my students who are becoming active citizens.<\/p>\r\n

Proyectos Handprint<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\"\"Como parte de nuestra clase de ingl\u00e9s, hemos estado trabajando en una serie de proyectos dirigidos a crear conciencia sobre los objetivos de la Agenda 2030.<\/p>\r\n

En clase, hemos hablado sobre cu\u00e1les son y por qu\u00e9 son importantes. Las y los estudiantes eligieron un objetivo y un tema para trabajar en acciones positivas que se pueden realizar a peque\u00f1a escala. El principal objetivo de estos proyectos es poder contribuir personalmente y como comunidad.<\/p>\r\n

Uno de los pasos m\u00e1s importantes durante la construcci\u00f3n de sus proyectos fue una tabla que llenaron con informaci\u00f3n relacionada con el tema en diferentes dimensiones (social, econ\u00f3mica, pol\u00edtica y ambiental) y escalas (individual, familiar o peque\u00f1o grupo, comunidad, regi\u00f3n, naci\u00f3n o estado, transnacional, mundial) que les da una perspectiva m\u00e1s amplia del tema en cuesti\u00f3n y m\u00e1s claridad sobre el trabajo que se puede hacer.<\/p>\r\n

Al final, los temas y las acciones tomadas por las y los estudiantes fueron bastante variados. Ya que ellas y ellos eligieron el tema en el que trabajaron, este les es relevante y se mostraron muy motivadas y motivados al llevar a cabo su investigaci\u00f3n y estaban claramente dispuestas y dispuestos a dar pasos hacia las acciones positivas.<\/p>\r\n

En lo personal, me siento muy orgullosa de mis estudiantes que se est\u00e1n convirtiendo en ciudadanas y ciudadanos activos.<\/p>\r\n
