As a part of that context we teach culture and traditions. The Halloween tradition is one of the most important celebrations there are in many English-speaking countries. Because in the old days it was believed that in October 31<sup>st<\/sup> portals opened and souls could transit from between the world of the dead and our own, this year our students from high school made tombstones of writers and singers whom they like or admire and that have passed away, and then, they created a graveyard.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was also believed that by wearing a disguise, souls coming back from the dead wouldn&#8217;t be able to recognise a living person because they would look like them. Como parte de ese contexto ense\u00f1amos cultura y tradiciones. La tradici\u00f3n de Halloween es una de las celebraciones m\u00e1s importantes que existen en los pa\u00edses de habla inglesa. Por un lado, antiguamente se cre\u00eda que el 31 de octubre se abr\u00edan portales y las almas pod\u00edan transitar entre el mundo de los muertos y el nuestro, por esta raz\u00f3n, este a\u00f1o las y los estudiantes de bachillerato realizaron l\u00e1pidas de escritores y cantantes que les gustan o admiran y que han fallecido, y luego crearon un cementerio.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tambi\u00e9n se cre\u00eda que al usar un disfraz las almas que regresaban de entre los muertos no podr\u00edan reconocer a una persona viva porque se parecer\u00edan a ella. Para honrar esa parte de la tradici\u00f3n, tuvimos un concurso de disfraces en el que participaron 78 estudiantes.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En pocas palabras, nuestra celebraci\u00f3n de Halloween este a\u00f1o fue un completo \u00e9xito: las y los estudiantes escribieron historias de terror, aprendieron sobre tradiciones \u00a1y se divirtieron mucho!<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Coordinaci\u00f3n de ingl\u00e9s<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bachillerato<\/p>\r\n&nbsp;","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Halloween!
