English Fair: the 17 Sustainable Goals of UNESCO.

This past week was the English Fair of Secundaria where all the students worked around the 17 Sustainable Goals of UNESCO.

Starting last November the students began their research about the Goal they chose and worked in learning what was the objective, what is being done and what still has to change in order to solve them.

First graders, as an evidence of their project, made brochures that summarize the most important aspects. Second graders made models to represent their findings. In the auditorium is where the best teams from third grade of junior high presented their work to their peers form 2nd and 3rd grades. They were able to tell about what they learnt while working in this worldwide project and show part of the most important facts in the poster exhibition at the Galleria.

It has been a very interesting project to work on since it is something that currently affects the world and our students will be part of the solution.

La semana pasada fue la feria de inglés de secundaria con el tema, ¿somos sustentables?  Los estudiantes trabajaron sobre los 17 Objetivos Sustentables de la UNESCO.

Comenzaron a trabajar en el proyecto desde el mes de noviembre escogiendo el tema que les parecía más interesante, investigando el objetivo, lo que se está haciendo para resolverlo y lo que aún se tiene que hacer.

Los alumnos de primero, como evidencia de su trabajo, realizaron folletos que resumen su investigación. Los de segundo año crearon maquetas sobre sus resultados. En el auditorio los mejores equipos de tercero presentaron su trabajo a sus compañeros de segundo y tercero. Pudieron platicar sobre lo que aprendieron acerca de este proyecto mundial mientras trabajaron sobre el proyecto. Hay una exhibición de sus posters en la Galería donde se muestran los datos más relevantes.

Ha sido un proyecto muy interesante debido a que es algo que actualmente afecta al mundo y nuestros alumnos serán parte de su solución.
