English cafeteria: playing like if they were waiters or customers

Last Friday, November 10th, our 3rd grade students went to the English cafeteria!

They brought different food from home to practice in a real situation the structures and vocabulary they have already learned. They played with their peers asking for and offering food like if they were waiters or customers.

This activity was a nice and fun experience for them. They enjoyed playing with friends and using English to communicate.   This topic also was a way of reflecting on what are consuming in relation to food and think if it’s correct or can be improved by eating healthier and the discussion was made with Madrid Tutor in Spanish so the two subjects were involved in one project.

El pasado viernes 10 de noviembre, nuestros alumnos de tercer grado fueron a la cafetería de inglés.

Ellos trajeron diferente comida para practicar en una situación real, las estructuras y vocabulario que han aprendido. Ellos jugaron con sus compañeros pidiendo y ofreciendo comida como si fueran los meseros o clientes.

Ésta actividad fue una linda y divertida experiencia para ellos. Disfrutaron jugar con sus amigos utilizando en idioma inglés para comunicarse.  El tema se utilizó también para reflexionar sobre el consumo de la comida y pensar si es la adecuada o cómo se puede comer de forma más saludable. El tema se trabajó con Madrid Tutor en español uniendo las dos materias en un mismo proyecto.
