The school is cool

All too often we tend to undertake the activities that take up most part of our lives without reflecting upon their very essence.

That is the case of coming to school, learning and achieving education.  Our young students belong to a generation overloaded and overstimulated with information, hence the importance of selecting and organizing useful information that promotes the awareness of the transformational power of education. Furthermore, that encourages them to consider themselves as a privileged and fortunate part of the population that can attend school and, last but not least, to appreciate the fact of being in the company of teachers, classmates and community at large, who will surely contribute to their self-knowledge and development.

This bulletin board is to invite our students to think that school is cool.

Demasiado a menudo tendemos a emprender las actividades que ocupan la mayor parte de nuestras vidas si reflexionar sobre su mismísima esencia.

Este es el caso de venir a la escuela, aprender y lograr educación. Nuestros jóvenes estudiantes pertenecen a una generación sobrecargada y sobre-estimulada de información, de aquí la importancia de seleccionar y organizar material útil que promueva la conciencia del poder transformador de la educación. Más aún, que les estimule a considerarse a sí mismos como un sector privilegiado y afortunado de la población que puede asistir a la escuela y, por último, pero no menos importante, a  apreciar el hecho de estar en compañía de profesores, compañeros de clase y la comunidad en general, quienes sin duda contribuirán a su autoconocimiento y desarrollo.

Este periódico mural es para invitar a nuestros alumnos a pensar que la escuela es genial.
