“A Christmas Icon: A look through a Christmas tree.”
The secondary’s bulletin board of the month of December is dedicated to give our students a quick look into the history of Christmas trees; their origin and the meaning of the tradition of putting up a tree for Christmas. It is always interesting to learn where our traditions come from.
In this bulletin board students will learn about how the palm reeds in Egypt were used with the same purpose or that the Romans and Vikings already had «evergreen» trees. The concept of the Christmas tree appeared in the 19th century, and it became popular due to Queen Victoria of England. The first Christmas ornaments were created by the American-German industry.

El periódico mural de la secundaria del mes de diciembre se dedica a dar a nuestros alumnos una mirada rápida sobre la historia de los árboles de Navidad; su origen y el significado de la tradición de poner un árbol. Siempre es interesante aprender de dónde vienen nuestras tradiciones.
En este periódico mural los alumnos aprenderán cómo los juncos de palma fueron utilizados en Egipto con el mismo propósito o que los romanos y los vikingos ya tenían árboles de hoja perenne. El concepto del árbol de Navidad comenzó en el siglo XIX, y se volvió popular gracias a la reina Victoria de Inglaterra. Los primeros adornos navideños fueron creados por la industria germano-estadounidense.
