Let’s segregate the waste!

Second graders used their previous knowledge to strengthen the environmental care of the school in the Integrated Learning class, by playing in a random wheel of “waste”. In the game, the learners had to identify the origin of the rubbish to determine the correct bin, assigned by the colours in the school: green for organic, yellow for inorganic, blue for plastics, orange for tetra pack packing and red corresponded to metals.

It was a great and fun strategy for students to keep considerate on how to maintain their surroundings clean and respectable; to be conscious and to improve their segregation skills in order to contribute with the society including the re-use and recycling.

¡Vamos a separar los residuos!

Los alumnos de segundo grado utilizaron sus conocimientos previos para fortalecer el cuidado ambiental de la escuela en la clase de “Integrated Learning” jugando en una rueda aleatoria de “desechos”. En el juego, los alumnos debían identificar el origen de la basura para determinar el contenedor correcto, asignado por los colores en la escuela: verde para orgánico, amarillo para inorgánico, azul para plásticos (PET), naranja para empaques tetra pack y rojo correspondía a aluminio.

Fue una excelente y muy divertida estrategia para que los estudiantes se mantengan atentos sobre cómo mantener su entorno limpio y respetable; ser más conscientes y mejorar sus habilidades de separación para contribuir en la sociedad con la reutilización y el reciclaje.
