Story sequence: Pete the cat is groovy!
Through the use of comprehension strategies for narrative texts, our kids from 3rd grade develop the ability to place a series of events, understand the context, and retell stories.
Preschool teachers help children understand the vocabulary and the story components. Then, by drawing, they reinforce the concept of sequencing by following simple instructions and practising pre-writing techniques.
In May, during the Integrated Learning class, they worked on two fascinating books: ‘Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons’ by Eric Litwin, and ‘Wolves’ by Emily Gravett.
With these activities, we encourage our students to comprehend short stories, carry out and complete activities logically.
Our kids were delighted with the stories! They used their creativity and imagination to draw an alternative ending. Have a look at their drawings!
Secuencia de la historia: ¡Pete el gato es maravilloso!Mediante el uso de estrategias de comprensión de textos narrativos, nuestros alumnos de 3º de preescolar desarrollan habilidades para ubicar una serie de eventos, comprender el contexto y volver a contar historias.
Las maestras de preescolar ayudan a los niños a comprender el vocabulario y los componentes de la historia. Después, mediante el dibujo, refuerzan el concepto de secuenciación siguiendo instrucciones sencillas y practicando técnicas de pre-escritura.

Por medio de este tipo de actividades, estimulamos a nuestros alumnos de 3º de preescolar a comprender historias cortas, y a realizar y completar actividades de manera.
