Our trip to Oxford / Nuestro viaje a Oxford
Every year, a group of students from elementary, middle school and highschool embark on an enriching journey that impacts positively in their lives. This year, they went to Oxford, a beautiful university town in England.
Students spent three weeks studying and practicing English with a program at Brookes University in a modern and spacious campus. But not everything was classes, they got to meet lots of people from different countries, visit museums, parks and cities that have a great historical and cultural significance.
They also had the opportunity of interacting with university staff, other students, and residents from Oxford as well as people in other cities they visited which enriches the understanding of international English.
Students learnt about British culture and visited some important landmarks such as: The Tower of London, The Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, Diana’s Memorial, Harry Potter Universal Studios, Stratford (William Shakespeare hometown), Cambridge, Blenheim Palace, Windsor State, and Winds River, among others.
Cada año, un grupo de estudiantes de primaria, secundaria y bachillerato emprenden un viaje enriquecedor que impacta positivamente en sus vidas. Este año fueron a Oxford, la ciudad universitaria más bella de Inglaterra.
Los estudiantes pasaron tres semanas estudiando y practicando inglés con el programa St. Giles en la Universidad Brookes, un campus moderno y espacioso. Pero no todo fueron clases, conocieron a mucha gente de diferentes países, visitaron museos, parques y ciudades que tienen un gran significado histórico y cultural.
También tuvieron la oportunidad de interactuar con el personal de la universidad, con otros estudiantes, con residentes de Oxford, así como con la gente de las ciudades que visitaron que enriquece su entendimiento del Inglés internacional.
