At Colegio Madrid our motivation for studying astronomy is imagination, humbleness, connection, and curiosity among many others. These are the feelings that our ancestors experienced thousands of years ago when they gazed up at the sky, and these are the constant feelings that we still feel now as we continue to solve the countless and ever-expanding mysteries of our cosmos.
After hosting our ‘Noche de Telescopios’ event, where we had the chance to explore some basic concepts about astronomy, our students from 3rd grade were able to link their knowledge and skills to create a constellation. We are convinced that science is a key element that allows students to reach their goals and highlights their future opportunities. Students acquire awareness of humility about themselves and create a link with the rest of the people by uncovering the enormity of our solar system. These concepts help them as a community and as individuals, it is our duty to foster that gratitude in all levels of life.

En el Colegio Madrid nuestra motivación para estudiar astronomía es la imaginación, la humildad, la conexión y la curiosidad, entre muchos otros. Estos son los sentimientos que nuestros antepasados experimentaron hace miles de años cuando miraban al cielo, y estos son los sentimientos constantes que aún experimentamos ahora mientras continuamos resolviendo los innumerables y siempre crecientes misterios de nuestro cosmos.
Después de organizar nuestro evento Noche de Telescopios, donde tuvimos la oportunidad de explorar algunos conceptos básicos sobre astronomía, nuestros alumnos de 3º año pudieron vincular sus conocimientos y habilidades para crear una constelación. Estamos convencidos de que la ciencia es un elemento clave que permite a los niños alcanzar sus metas y resalta sus oportunidades futuras. Los estudiantes adquieren conciencia de humildad sobre sí mismos y crean un vínculo con el resto de las personas al descubrir la inmensidad de nuestro sistema solar. Estos conceptos les ayudan como comunidad y como individuos; es nuestro deber fomentar esa gratitud en todos los niveles de la vida.
