Fun learning with slices of bread!
In 4th grade, in the Integrated Learning class, we have worked and reviewed two topics using slices of bread. Yes! Using bread.
One of them was Maths, in which fractions were reviewed. The students identified the parts and types of fractions, answered exercises on the board and ended the class by cutting slices of bread into the fractions that the teachers indicated. It was an activity they enjoyed very much.
The second one was in the Spanish class, with a recipe. In this class they reviewed the parts of the recipe and wrote one to prepare sushi. Once the theoretical work was finished, the students prepared sushi with cheese, ham, carrot and cucumber. They were very happy to learn how to write the recipe, to follow the steps for making it, to be able to make it and at the end, of course, to taste and enjoy it.
These were meaningful activities for our student to experience learning and also, to practise English in a fun way.

En 4º año, en la clase de Aprendizaje Integrado, hemos trabajado y repasado dos temas utilizando rebanadas de pan de caja. ¡Sí! Utilizando pan.
Una de ellas fue Matemáticas, en la que se repasaron las fracciones. Las y los alumnos identificaron las partes y tipos de fracciones, realizaron ejercicios en el pizarrón y finalizaron la clase cortando rebanadas de pan de caja en las fracciones que las maestras iban indicando. Fue una actividad que disfrutaron mucho.
La segunda ocasión fue en la materia de español, con el tema de la receta. En esta clase repasaron las partes de la misma y escribieron una para preparar sushi. Una vez terminado el trabajo teórico, los alumnos y alumnas prepararon sushi con queso, jamón, zanahoria y pepino. Estaban muy felices de aprender a escribir la receta, seguir los pasos y ser capaces de elaborarla, y al final por supuesto, degustarla y disfrutarla.
Estas fueron actividades significativas para nuestras y nuestros alumnos para experimentar el aprendizaje y además, para practicar el inglés de una manera divertida.
