Photosynthesis
This time in 5th grade, we had the privilege of learning more about the process of photosynthesis. The topic is so interesting that we dedicated two sessions to it.
During first session, we shared what each of us knew about plants including their different parts. Then, we watched a video that explained the process of photosynthesis in a very clear and step-by-step manner, its lively content made it very enjoyable for everyone. This also helped us understand the elements that plants need to feed and grow. The girls and boys participated very actively, recalling words that characterise photosynthesis and they made a vocabulary list as part of a contest.
In the second session we reviewed the vocabulary in order to produce what they had learned doing a very fun project! The children were divided into teams and finally, with different materials like paper, cards, markers colors and a lot of creativity, each team made a poster containing illustrations and information about the photosynthesis process.
At the end, all the teams presented their work and gave a brief explanation demonstrating their creativity and what they had learned.
Fotosíntesis
En esta ocasión en 5º año tuvimos el privilegio de aprender más acerca del proceso de la fotosíntesis. El tema es tan interesante que dedicamos dos sesiones al mismo.
Durante la primera sesión, compartimos lo que cada uno sabíamos acerca de las plantas incluyendo sus diferentes partes. Después, vimos un video que explicaba el proceso de la fotosíntesis de manera clara y paso a paso que, por su contenido animado, fue muy divertido para todos. Esto también nos ayudó a entender los elementos que necesitan las plantas para alimentarse y crecer. Los niños y las niñas participaron activamente recordando palabras que caracterizan la fotosíntesis y crearon una lista de vocabulario a manera de concurso.
En la segunda sesión repasamos el vocabulario para que finalmente produjeran lo aprendido en un divertido proyecto. Las y los alumnos se dividieron en equipos y finalmente, con diferentes materiales como papel, cartulina, marcadores, colores y mucha creatividad hicieron un poster que contenía ilustraciones e información del proceso de la fotosíntesis.
Al final, todos los equipos presentaron su trabajo y dieron una pequeña explicación demostrando su creatividad y todo lo que habían aprendido.
