Integrated Learning classes
The Integrated Learning classes at our primary have been very successful. Although it was a challenge at the beginning, the results obtained show that the primary school students have been able to consolidate the content in their mother tongue, as well as to learn the same content in a foreign language. This, because students are exposed to content and language at the same time.
The head teachers and the English teachers plan and deliver the lessons together, and they include a variety of activities that the children enjoy. The language is integrated in a natural way with the topics seen in various subjects, and the children feel motivated to learn English… so their participation is constant to express what they have been learning.
In the Integrated Learning class, we all learn from each other!
Clases de Integrated Learning
Las clases de Integrated Learning (Aprendizaje Integrado) en nuestra primaria han sido muy exitosas. Si bien al inicio fue un reto, los resultados obtenidos muestran que al alumnado de la primaria ha podido consolidar el contenido en su lengua materna, así como a aprender el mismo en una lengua extranjera. Esto se da ya que las y los estudiantes están expuestos al contenido y al lenguaje al mismo tiempo.
Las y los maestros titulares y las maestras de inglés planean e imparten la clase de manera conjunta, e incluyen una variedad de actividades que las y los niños disfrutan. El idioma se va integrando de una manera natural con los temas vistos en las asignaturas, y las y los niños se sienten motivados a aprender inglés… por lo que su participación es constante para expresar lo que han estado aprendiendo.
En la clase de Integrated Learning, ¡todos aprendemos unos de otros!
