Parts of the body
Teaching parts of the body in English through games and interactive activities makes learning fun, and increases motivation and participation.
It improves vocabulary retention as the students associate words with concrete actions and objects. Motor skills are developed as the activities involve physical movement, and social interaction is encouraged as they have the opportunity to interact with each other to practise teamwork skills.
Playful learning allows our students to feel more confident while practising English.
The activity our students did was in pairs where one named and gave the images of the parts of the face to his or her partner, who could only take the images and without seeing, had to paste them on a cardboard that was the body of a monster.
They were very excited and amused to see how the monster’s face turned out.
Partes del cuerpo
Enseñar las partes del cuerpo en inglés a través de juegos y actividades interactivas hacen que el aprendizaje sea divertido, y aumenta su motivación y participación.
Mejora la retención del vocabulario ya que las y los alumnos asocian las palabras con acciones y objetos concretos. Se desarrolla habilidades motoras, pues las actividades implican movimientos físicos, también se fomenta la interacción social ya que tienen la oportunidad de interactuar entre sí para practicar las habilidades del trabajo en equipo.
Un aprendizaje lúdico permite a nuestras y nuestros estudiantes sentirse más cómodos al practicar el inglés.
La actividad que realizaron fue en parejas donde uno nombraba y le daba las imágenes de las partes de la cara a su compañero o compañera, quien solo podía tomar las imágenes y, sin ver, tenía que pegarlas en una cartulina que figuraba el cuerpo de un monstruo.
Les emocionaba y divertía mucho ver la manera en que quedaba la cara del monstruo.
