MIGRATION

During their Integrated Learning class, the 3rd grade students explored the topic of Migration.

The teachers explained to the students that migration is a phenomenon in which people and animals move from their home to a new place, sometimes nearby and sometimes farther away. They explained that the goal of migration is to seek better opportunities in life. The students were also told that on other occasions, migration is driven by the need to avoid problems such as violence or disasters. Several examples were used, and the students shared their point of view. As a final activity, they were asked to imagine how they would feel if they had to migrate to another place and to express their feelings through drawings.

MIGRACIÓN

Durante la clase de Integrated Learning los alumnos de 3er grado trabajaron el tema de Migración.

Las maestras explicaron a los alumnos y alumnas que era un fenómeno cuando las personas y animales se mudan de su casa a un lugar nuevo, algunas veces cerca y algunas veces no. Y que el objetivo de la migración era buscar mejores oportunidades de vida. Se les explicó que en otras ocasiones lo hacían para huir de problemas como la violencia o desastres. Se trabajó con varios ejemplos, en los cuales los chicos y chicas intercambiaron su punto de vista.  Como producto final de la actividad, se les pidió que imaginaran cómo se sentirían si tuvieran que migrar a otro lugar, y que plasmaran su sentir con dibujos.
