Eliminatory XIII Shakespeare Competition

Today, March 11^th, was our first eliminatory to choose two representatives to participate in the XIII Shakespeare Competition. There were 19 contestants, from different semesters from CCH, who had to chose a monologue from one of Shakespeare’s plays and a sonnet and interpret them in front of their 4^th semester peers and one of Opcion’s groups. The two judges, Stuart Cox (British actor and director) and Josefina Felix (CCH teacher and coordinator), saw the performances and chose the two finalists: Natalia Riestra Hatre and Emiliano David Lopez Ponce. They will compete representing Colegio Madrid, on the 18^th, at Teatro Helénico against other 12 schools.

It has been a great experience for many students and next year we hope more will be interested in participating and enjoying the work of Shakespeare.

Hoy, 11 de marzo, fue nuestra primera eliminatoria interna para elegir a dos representantes del Colegio para participar en el XIII Concurso de Shakespeare. Hubo 19 concursantes, de diveros semestres de CCH, quienes eligieron un monólogo de las obras de Shakespeare y un soneto, que interpretaron frente a compañeros de 4 º semestre y uno de los grupos de Opción. Los dos profesores, Stuart Cox (director y actor británico) y Josefina Félix (Coordinadora y profesora CCH), vieron las actuaciones y eligieron a los dos finalistas: Natalia Riestra Harte y Emiliano David Lépez Ponce.

Ellos competirán representando al Colegio, el día 18 en el Teatro Helénico, contra otras 12 escuelas.
